Question: “Is it true that you’re leaving Florida and moving back to Illinois?” my sister.

Answer: It’s true.

After 12 years as Florida’s premiere personal property appraiser, I’ve returned to my native Illinois, settling in Chicago. It’s where I got my start as a buyer for my family’s stores (Kohler’s Trading Post in Lombard and Violetta’s Antiques in Villa Park). It’s also where I first started writing appraisals for my mother, Gayle Miller, decades ago.

I’m thankful for my time in Florida; I had nearly 1,000 clients since 2010 and appraised some CRAZY amazing items. It was a blast and I consider myself lucky. Thank you, Florida!

As always, I’m accepting online clients all the time. I’m scheduling in-person consultations starting in October 2022 in Chicago and the suburbs.
